R.L. Livermore, LMT, LMI, Administrator/Coordinator: R.L. is a graduate of Hands on Therapeutics and has practiced massage for 12 years in Oklahoma and Texas.
David Washburn, LMT, LMI: David holds a BA in Sociology and is a graduate of Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin. He has over 450 hours of advanced massage training.
Rodney Livermore, LMT, LMI: Rodney graduated from I.N.H.S. He has over 400 hours of advanced
massage training. Rodney is also our CPR and First Aid instructor.
He operated a massage establishment for over 12 years. And, webmaster for
this site.

Basic Program:
Massage Theory (200 hours) - This is the study of massage therapy techniques and theory and the practice of manipulation of soft tissue. Areas included are history, products, client preparation & draping, effects & benefits, contraindications
Anatomy (50 hours) & Physiology (25 hours) – This unit will consists of terms & organization of the body including: cells, tissues, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, endocrine system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, reproductive system, and special senses.
Health & Hygiene (20 hours) These hours are dedicated to the study of health, hygiene, first aid, universal precautions,
Hydrotherapy (20 hours) Includes history & terms, practical understanding of the applications, mechanisms, indications and contraindications.
Business & Ethics (45 hours) The study of massage therapy laws & rules, business practices, & professional ethics standards. Students must take and pass one of the national tests and after June 1, 2009 must take and pass a juris prudence test before applying for a license.
Pathology (40 hours) – Students will receive information on diseases and infections, indications and contraindications, conditions and disorders, psychological and emotional states of the body. Also, a section on basic pharmacology is taught.
Kinesiology (50) – The study of Kinesiology will include terms, joints, movements, major muscles, posture and Proprioception.
Internship (50) – Students will get “Hands on” and practical experience by providing services in a massage clinic. Learning objectives include performing massage on the public, scheduling appointments, interviewing clients and record keeping.
